What are the different types of gas travelling through the Teréga grid?

There are two different types of gas:

  • Natural gas is an energy source extracted directly from below the ground. It mainly comprises methane and is distributed through a network of pipes.

  • Green gases are renewable gases. The best-known is biogas, derived from the fermentation of organic matter, and can be injected into the transport grid in its purified form: biomethane. There are two other “new gases” that we are working to develop: hydrogen and synthetic methane.
