What is cogeneration?

Cogeneration is the simultaneous product of two different energies.

The most widespread cogeneration system is that of electricity and heat. In effect, the production of electricity releases a large amount of thermal energy which, if we don’t recover it, is generally wasted. This is known as an unavoidable energy.

A cogeneration system can recover this thermal energy, using it to heat buildings or for industrial processes.
